About Ian

Ian Hurley grew up in Knockadoon, a small peninsula in Cork on the south coast of Ireland. Growing up 200 metres from the Atlantic ocean had a profound effect on his life. School summer holidays were spent walking the cliffs, climbing the rock pools and exploring the surrounding coastal area. The countryside has continued to have a strong connection to his life.  

 

Photography has always been a part of his life and it was in university that he developed his skills further discovering new techniques and experimented with the art form. 

 

Ian moved to London in 2012 and has lived there ever since.

 

In November 2015 Ian had his first solo photography exhibition in London.

Ian took part in two further group exhibitions in 2016 at the

Espacio Gallery London.
